My name is Bill Rotunda, and I have been a City Letter Carrier at the Merrick Installation since 2008. I started my NALC career as an Alternate Shop Steward as well as an On-The-Job Instructor (OJI) in 2012. In 2014, I moved up to the Shop Steward position, and in 2018, I was appointed the Formal Step A designee for the Merrick Installation. Additionally, this year I was appointed as the webmaster of the newly redesigned Branch 6000 website www.nalcbranch6000.com. I take pride in being able to help fellow employees be treated with the dignity and respect they deserve and holding management accountable when they disregard employees’ contractual rights.

I would like to thank Merrick Shop Steward Frank Melisurgo for being a mentor with his continued instruction and guidance on how to become a great steward. I would not be in this position today if not for his support and encouragement. Additionally, Full-Time Officers Kathy Friedman and Tom Kelly helped me considerably throughout the years with their insight and knowledge. I would also like to thank Walter Barton for having confidence in me to give me an opportunity to be a Trustee on the Branch 6000 Executive Board. I look forward to all the future responsibilities and challenges as one of the upcoming leaders of Branch 6000. I will do all I can to support and represent all Letter Carriers to the best of my abilities.
