Election Results - Executive Board

On Thursday, October 19, 2023, the nominations for the positions of Branch 6000 officers were received and accepted for all Executive Board positions.

As per a previous notification to the entire Membership which was published in the August, 2023 issue of the Postal Record, members were instructed how, when, and where to submit nominations if they wished to be nominated or to nominate for any of the Executive Board positions. The nominations were to be submitted at the Bay Shore Knights of Columbus Hall on October 19, 2023 starting at 7:30 pm through 8:30 pm.

The results of the receipt of nominations are as follows:

• Sean Killeen – Financial Secretary

• William Rotunda – Treasurer

• Gary DeGrijze – Area Rep./OWCP

• Patricia McDermott – Area Rep.

• Michael Spadafina – Director of City Delivery

• James Tuthill – HBR/MBA/NSBA Rep.

• James Jongebloed – Editor

• Ryan Curry – Sgt. At Arms / Trustee #1

These are the entire list of nominees.

By virtue of the fact that each of the nominees ran unopposed for their respective nominated positions, President Walter Barton requested Recording Secretary Carol Brown to cast one ballot in accordance with the NALC Election procedures. All nominees were therefore elected by acclimation. The new Executive Board will be installed at the December 21, 2023 branch meeting.
