2021 Scholarship Awards

       Hello Everyone!  This is my first article since retiring as a Full-Time Officer for Branch 6000.  I would like to thank President Barton for allowing me to continue working for the Branch in this small capacity, as your Scholarship Chairman. 

       Now on to the 2021 John Pedota Memorial Scholarship Winners.  First, I would like to “THANK” all those young applicants who submitted an application this year.  We wish we could give you all something.  But we had to pick only three winners.  These winners were selected by Professor John Pry, retired Professor from Suffolk Community College.  Thank you, Professor Pry.  The Winners Are:

1st Place- $1,500- Adia Scarmack, daughter of Letter Carrier Vincent Scarmack of the North Babylon Post Office.

2nd Place- $750- Tiffany Rodriquez, daughter of Letter Carrier Leonardo Rodriquez of the New Hyde Park Post Office.

3rd Place- $750- Olivia Wu, daughter of Letter Carrier Yeeman Ng of the Garden City Post Office.

And finally, the winner of the William “Bill” Morris Memorial Scholarship from the Branch 6000 Credit Union was:

Alan Gansky- $750- son of Letter Carrier Erik Gansky of the Glen Cove Post Office.

           On behalf of Branch 6000 and the Branch 6000 Credit Union-CONGRATULATIONS to ALL the Scholarship Winners!!!  We are very proud of all the hard work you have done to receive this award.  And we, here at Branch 6000, are very happy to help you in your continued academic endeavors.
